Without the (eye)shadow of a doubt : SANTE eyeshadow stick review

I realized I had to buy a sharpener since I don’t own one for thick pencil 🙂

I recently purchased these two eyeshadow sticks from the German brand SANTE.
Where I am based, I can easily find German beauty products and SANTE Naturkosmetik offers a wide range of skincare and cosmetic products. (A bit like LOGONA or LAVERA) Their prices are very reasonable and the formulas are quite nice.
It’s the first time I use natural eyeshadows in the form of a stick. So here’s what I got:

Silver shade n°2 and coffee shade n°8

The pros

  • Color and pigmentation : Silver and metallic brown are both very
pretty and subtle. I really appreciate that they are not too shiny.
Other shades are available such as light pink, or olive green etc
  • Versatility:
Blendable, you can easily build on the colors. The silver stick is
perfect to highlight the inner corners and make the eye look bigger and
brighter. The coffee shade looks great for lining the upper and lower
lashline. It is a neutral brown, working with both warm or cool tones.
  • Very easy to use: both are smooth on the lids (the silver is smoother than the brown though)
  • Convenient: crayons are easy to carry around in your purse or – why not – in your pocket haha.
  • The
price: for 8,44 Euros each (approx.12 US dollars) it’s a good deal,
because it can easily become a staple in your makeup routine.

Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Silica, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil*, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Hydrogenated Coco Glycerides, Lanolin, Lauroyl Lysine, Copernica Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Mica, [+/- CI 77007, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77510, CI 77742, CI 77891]

The cons (if I can say so)

  •  The color fades away after a few hours, but when you opt for greener products, you are aware that they contain less preservatives and therefore are not so long-lasting. However if you need a quick touch up during the day, you can carry the stick with you.

To sum it up, I’m very satisfied with those sticks. They are convenient and easy to use. The colors are subtle. It’s perfect if you’re in a hurry and you don’t have much time to do your eye-makeup, because those little crayons brighten your eyes instantly.

Have you tried these? Or have you tried eyeshadow sticks from other brands? Let me know!

Take care,
Liz
