From left to right: Shell Shock, Arabian Knight, Neon Angel |
If you are reading this, you are probably questioning my math skills and I don’t blame you ๐
I’m quite the lipstick junkie, and I’m slowly gathering a nice little organic/green lipstick collection.
Over the last months I’ve purchased three Ilia Beauty products: my first acquisition was the coral tinted lip conditioner “Shell Shock”.ย Another cheeky Ilia purchase quickly ensued with “Arabian Knights”, which I have numerous times professed my undying love for.ย Recently “Neon Angel” became the newest addition to my Ilia family.
I decided to play some color combination game: each time I mixed two colors together and 3 different shades became 6, hence the puzzling title.
Ilia lipsticks are easily buildable:ย the more you layer up, the bigger you see a difference. Combination nยฐ5 “Neon Angel” + Arabian Knights” turned out to be my favorite.
Needless to say, I’m eager to get my hands on other Ilia lip products, but in the meantime, I’ll play with these little three, or six ha! ๐
Have you tried some Ilia lipsticks color combinations? Let me know!
Take care,
Liz

I have bang bang and Arabian nights, I would love to add a pink to my collection too so I can play around with the colours like this, very clever idea to mix them! ๐ Xx
Well thank you Ana! I'm so happy you like it ๐ Bang Bang is such a nice shade as well. Shell Shock is fantastic if you like corals. But I find Neon Angel – even if it's a flashy pink- to be excellent for color combinations. Mixing Ilia lipsticks together makes my wallet definitely happier ๐
Such lovely colors, Liz! I usually shy away from bold colors like these, but I could totally have fun layering a few nudes and softer shades. Great idea. Love the new colors you created! xo
Thank you Sarita ๐ There are so many possibilities with Ilia lipsticks, you can definitely mix softer colors. Plus it's a fun way to save some money (well at least for me haha) xo, Liz
