Have some serums! Odacité Pure Elements review

If you read my post about Odacité’s discovery kit (here), then you know how enthused I am over this skincare line. Vegan, cruelty-free and non-GMO, I love how fresh their products are. Their eye cream is absolutely phenomenal and since they have a few tricks up on their sleeves, they recently came up with these lovely serums from their collection called “Pure Elements” I have oily and blemish prone skin. There was a (dark 😉 time, where I used to stay away from oils but now I know it’s all about finding the right ones, according to your skin type and needs.
As you can see, I got Black Cumin – Cajeput and Blueberry – Jasmine. Let’s have a look at their skin benefits, shall we?
Blueberry:  a powerfruit packed with antioxidants and is often used
to soften the skin and bring back its elasticity.
Jasmine: besides the uplifting and soothing scent, revives dehydrated skin.
Black
Cumin Seed oil
: I have to admit, I hadn’t heard of Black Cumin Seed oil before, and while I was doing some researches, I saw some sensational titles
such as “Miracle oil” and “Immune system booster”. While I obviously can’t
confirm this, I can tell for sure that it’s highly rich in essential fatty acids like linoleic and linolenic acids. BCS oil is used against pimples and helps minimize pores.
Cajeput :  a decongestant (I wish I had known this
sooner, since I have sinus infections hum…) and an astringent oil, benefitting oily skin. Used to heal minor scars and apparently, also helps clear eczema.

Application: it says to add 2-3 drops in your moisturizer day/night

Why should one use a serum? I learned that a serum is specifically
formulated with smaller molecules, to penetrate deeper into the skin
layers and allowing to treat skin conditions. Well, better late than never I guess 😉 Now I know that I should use a serum to add more efficiency to my moisturizer.
In the morning:
I mix 2 drops of Blueberry-Jasmine with my Trevarno daycream, and it blends really well, because this moisturizer is super lightweight. A few
drops add a touch of freshness and leave a lovely jasmine scent.
The last month has been quite challenging for me for several reasons, and I believe this little serum prevented me from looking like straight out of the Walking Dead. My skin looked less dull and generally more firm, plump. The scent of Jasmine is incredibly uplifting and soothing.
Ingredients:  Vaccinium Corymbosum (Blueberry*) seed oil, jasminum Sambac (Jasmine) flower oil, Litsea cubeba fruit oil, Acacia decurrens (mimosa) flower extract, Cananga odorate (Ylang Ylang) flower oil Tocopherols (vitamine E) oil.  * Highest grade, cold-pressed virgin oil.

In the evening: I apply the Black Cumin + Cajeput on a cleansed face. I used to
apply 2-3 drops on my face and on specific spots (make sure to test patch first, as it could be too potent for you). Recently, I experimented and mixed it
with my Indie Lee Squalane oil and it worked really fine.

I’ve noticed that it prevents new breakouts
and slowly diminishes the existing ones. I’ve been using it for over a month now and besides the few hormonal spots, my pores looked smaller and some blackheads disappeared.
Ingredients: Nigella sativa (Black Cumin*) oil, Melaleuca minor (Cajeput**) leaf/twig oil, Tocopherols (vitamin E) oil.
*Highest grade, cold-pressed virgin oil **Organic

No, this chart is not a something Walter White came up with, it’s actually very easy to comprehend it 😉 Below each skin need, the specific serums. Once you choose those you’re interested in, you can mix them up and create various combinations. With each product, there’s a little brochure, which indicates the country of origin, as well as the extraction method of each ingredient. Odacité’s oils are coming from all over the world.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely!
I’ve been able to see a noticable difference on my skin since adding these serums to my moisturizers. Both products helped my skin retain some moisture, despite having been sick, sleep-deprived and slacking off on my usual healthy eating. The skin disaster that usually follows with those problems has been mostly avoided.
Offering a personalized service with a variety of high-quality and targeted skin serums is a stellar idea! There’s truly a serum for everyone. Odacité’s staff are very professional and attentive to their customer’s needs, as I mentioned here and if you’re interested in trying Odacité products, I suggest you suscribe to their newsletter, as they regularly send some promo codes. I’ll definitely get my hands on some more serums, because they’re incredible. I have added Grapeseed/Grapefruit and Papaya/Geranium on my wishlist.  I strongly believe in plant synergy and if you manage to find the combination that works great for you, you might see some impressive results.Have you tried Odacité? Let me know!

Take care,
Liz

  • I am really enjoying these serums/boosters. I have Ac+R, Gt+L, Jo+L & the BI+C. I like that I can mix them with my moisturizers or layer them with my other serums.

I'm glad you reviewed the Blueberry Jasmine as it was next on my list. =D

  • Super article !

  • Great review! I have the black cumin + cajeput serum, too, and I love using it in the morning mixed with my daily serum so I can get a little acne-fighting power throughout the day. I really love these serums and the idea that if I don't have one mega serum that fights acne, aging, wrinkles, etc., then I can just boost it with one of these! 🙂
