You are a bathing queen : bathtime essentials

There must be quite a few things that a hot bath can’t cure, but I don’t know of many of them – Sylvia Plath

Bathtime is such a privileged moment to unwind and pamper yourself, and some products just happen to make me feel like I have a spa in my own home!

Cleanse and Purify
Deep Steep Bubble Bath
I had almost completely given up on bubble baths, until I got my hands on Deep Steep’s Bubble Bath. Most natural bath products, I’ve tried do create bubbles because they are void of harsh surfactants or chemicals, but Deep Steep is the exception. Honeydew-spearmint is a subtle fruity and refreshing fragrance. A small amount is needed to create a bubbly bath. What can I say, bubbles make everything better 🙂
Ravenscourt Apothecary Russian Valdai clay
I mentioned it (here). I’m absolutely loving this Russian Valdai clay soap because of its healing and rejuvenating
properties. It’s incredibly soothing and gentle. It got rid of several spots that I had, and my skin feels softer since using it regularly. Quite possibly my favorite soap bar.
Hydrate and Nourish
EcoWorld Cranberry bath chocolate
My secret weapon for smooth skin 😉 Looks so scrumptious, just like MuLondon’s white chocolate body cream.  100% organic and created by a family-owned business in Austria, this bath melt is made of cocoa butter, premium olive oil,  and essential oils. One to two pieces are enough for one bath. It dissolves softly into warm running water and leaves your skin incredibly soft, with a slight cocoa flavor. I don’t even feel like applying body lotion or oil afterwards, because my skin feels perfectly nourished and hydrated.
Ochre Enliven Rosemary & Peppermint Enliven Salt Scrub*
If you like peppermint as much as I do, you’ll love it! Invigorating, refreshing and detoxfying. I feel so energised after using this salt scrub. I scoop out a small amount and start massaging on wet skin. It has a gel-like consistency, which makes the exfoliation more pleasant and gentle. I didn’t experience any skin reactions nor irritations, just soft, polished skin 🙂
MuLondon White chocolate Elbow, Knee & Heel cream
I reviewed it (here) and it was one of my top 2013 products (here), so this is saying quite a lot about my love for this product. As I type these words, my jar is almost empty, but this is going to be a repurchase for sure, because it nourishes the driest and scaliest parts without being greasy – my elbows have never been so soft (never thought I’d see that day 😉
Oh, and it smells like chocolate, how can you say no to that?
Zum Body Francincense & Myrrh body lotion
I’ve been favoring oils over creams and lotions, but I still have this Zum Body lotion which is absolutely lovely. Among the ingredients, you’ll find  frankincense, myrrh, shea butter and meadowfoam seed oil. The fragrance of the lotion is really nice, it’s very a subtle sweet smell. It’s affordable and it does the job,  it moisturizes well without feeling greasy nor sticky. The texture is lightweight, so I particularly enjoy it during these warmer seasons. Since the product is quite small, this also makes it very convenient when travelling.

Have you tried any of these? What are your favorite bathtime products?

Take care,

Liz

  • I loveeee MU London White Chocolate Cream mmm! Honestly…I'm not a huge fan of baths…they're just a bit of a faff to me – either too hot or too cold…not enough water….I just don't really find them relaxing HOWEVER how lush does that bath chocolate sound! Now that….I could have a bath for!

    • I totally get what you mean. In fact, I mostly take showers, it's just that when I find the time to take a long bath, I bring out all these goodies 😉 But I can promise you that a bath chocolate is definitely worth trying 🙂 xx

  • My last apartment had a tiny little shower so I've really learned to appreciate a long bath!! Also: honeydew and spearmint seems like the most BIZARRE of combinations, but I'm intrigued nonetheless (Ditto on the bath chocolate).

    • I know! Honeydew and spearmint seems strange, but the result is great – super refreshing and slightly minty and fruity at the same time! But then it's just my opinion, everybody its own scent preferences 🙂 xx

  • I have to get my hands on that soap, sounds great! When I saw the pic I though you ate chocolate while bathing, but bath chocolate melt is way cooler. I love my bath time will definitely look into that. A big fan of indigo wild Zum range, but haven't tried the creams yet. I think I am the only person who is not in love with mulondon chocolate cream, I find the smell too strong and not sure about the consistency either

  • That chocolate soap sounds awesome! I'm not a bath person – I just find it uses too much water. I only do it once in a blue moon or in hotels, haha!

So happy to be getting my bath but my bank account is already going into attack mode against me! aaaahhhhhh!
