Spring/Summer must-haves #3 : Hair care

Part 3 of my summer series and it’s all about haircare products that can add some bounce and shine to your locks while protecting them from the heat. (If you missed the first two posts of this series, click (here) & (here).

For some wavy, beach hair: Olivine Love + Salt hair spray/body mist
This salt spray was one of the full-sized products in ABW beauty box S/S’15 (see the box on my Instagram here) and quickly became a favorite. It’s a fabulous spray to create some bounce and mimic beach hair. The formula is simple just like most sea salt sprays, but with a coconut twist. The sweet scent is simply addictive and it lingers on your skin for a while.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Epsom Salts, Pink Himalayan Salt, Organic French Sea Salt, Dendritic Salt, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Fragrance

For healthy ends: Yarok Feed your ends leave-in conditioner
Another product I ordered from A Beautiful World is Yarok’s leave-in conditioner (travel size) and it’s a keeper for me. Alcohol-free, it offers heat protection, detangles my fine hair effortlessly and keeps my ends nourished and replenished. My hair is fine and tangles easily after washing, Yarok solves the problem. It doesn’t leave an oily feel, my hair feels soft after each use. Oh and it smells lovely too, a mix of lemon and herbs.
Ingredients: Nourishing Vitamin Water, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Grapeseed Oil, Organic Apricot Oil, Organic Evening Primrose Oil, Plant Sourced Kosher Vegan Xanthan Gum/Potassium Sorbate (all natural preservative), Organic Essential Oils of Rosemary & Litsea Cubeba

For added health + scalp volume: Briogeo Blossom & Bloom Ginseng + Biotin volumizer*
Hello Cindy Crawford hair! Briogeo volumizer provides hair salon volume for fine and limp hair. Vegan and gluten free, the formula is outstanding: Biotin encourages hair growth by stimulating hair follicles, lemon and witch hazel, thanks to their astringent properties ensure a clean scalp. Panax Ginseng root extract in supplements helps decrease the effects of stress, which deplete necessary nutrients to keep hair growing. Maltodextrin coats each hair strand and together with collagen, helps create the immediate effect of fuller, thicker hair.
Before blow- drying your hair, a quick spritz it on damp hair and then as your hair dries, the magic happens. Hair will look instantly fuller and healthier. While this is essentially a volumizing blow-dry spray, I also use it on damp hair and follow with a hair massage. The result is less impressive, but it still works great as a styling product.
Available on Cosnatural
Note: Cosnatural is also one of the only European stockists for Waxelene and CV Skinlabs.
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Alcohol Denat. (Grain Derived), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Polysorbate 80 (Coconut Derived), Maltodextrin/VP Copolymer, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Biotin, Glycerin (Coconut Derived), Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract, Leuconostoc Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol.

  • Love love love Yarok. I gave my sea salt spray away becusse with short curls, it makes them too tight, but the smells was amazing

  • Indie Lee recommended that I try Briogeo, it's her favourite! They sent me their shampoo & conditioner and they smell incredible. Paul always loves it when I use them as normally my natural shampoos don't tend to keep my hair smelling that fresh but these ones do. Would definitely be intrigued by their volumizer too!
