A short but very sweet post, about one fragrance that stole my heart – or should I say my nose.
I noticed that when I love a product and use it on a daily basis (Joyful, W3ll People Expressionist mascara, Cîme Himalayan balm etc.), I completely forget to post a review early on. Somehow I’m so enamored that I get distracted. Joyful is now empty as we speak and I went through it particularly quickly for a specific reason – more about that later on. I ordered it on Nuciya – an online eco store I highly recommend for their affordable shipping, excellent customer service and stellar selection – without having tried a sample. A risky move you might say, but deep down I knew that I’d love it. Joyful is described as a “fragrant love letter of orange flower, lime blossom, rose, jasmine and creamy sandalwood”, to which I can only agree. For me, it’s happiness in a bottle, I can’t think of any other way to put it. The scent is uplifting, invigorating because it’s as fresh as can be. It lingers all day long, without being overpowering. The name is just appropriate, because I genuinely feel extra perky when I smell it. Being a long-time Neroli fan, this is just a heavenly product for me. The Bonus? The wave of compliments ensuing when wearing this fragrance. (Was I smelling bad before or what ;D?) Everyone of all ages loved that smell.
After several weeks of use, I realized that the bottle was almost empty, but I soon found out the reason. There was a sneaky little sister who would occasionally steal some spritzes haha.

I also poured a bit of Joyful into my travel spray to carry all day long |
Would I recommend it? Yes! If you’re unsure about liking the scent, Nuciya also offers the 10ml spritzer size and sample size.
All in all, I adored Joyful, and I’ll repurchase it. Janey Ganson, the founder of My Daughter Fragrances has a knack for blending rich, enticing scents. I thought that Joyful would be my favorite from her line, but I tried a sample of Always Loved (a beautfiful blend of Bulgarian rose oil, Turkish rose absolute, Bitter cocoa absolute, Patchouli, Vetiver and Cedar) and now my heart wavers between the two, because Always Loved has a blissful scent too.
My Daughter Fragrances is available on Nuciya Beauty (international shipping at super affordable rates), and soon Eminessences will stock them in Europe as well.
Take care,
Liz
