Today is officially the start of Organic Beauty Week! To celebrate and raise awareness of organic cosmetics, various events are taking place during the week, so if you’re in the area, do not hesitate to join and show your support.
19th September: Organic Beauty Week kick off – online
To kick things off, every Soil Association beauty brand will be on social media channels at 11am (UK time) on the 19th September. The hashtags used are #lookforthelogo and #organicbeautyweek. Press, bloggers, and influencers will also join to support the campaign.
21st September: Wholefoods event – Kensington
As Soil Association’s retail partner, Wholefoods will be hosting an event in their Kensington store as part of Organic Beauty Week for 100-120 guests from 18h30 to 20h30.
This event will also comprise a Q&A with Niomi Smart, who recently launched her cookbook, ‘Eat Smart’ (our review here). The chat will be hosted by Soil Association to talk about the importance of certification and why it matters, followed by a book signing of ‘Eat Smart’.
There will also be a number of our organic beauty brands there ready to answer all your clean beauty questions. Two ticket prices available (info here)
22nd September: Arganic, Green and Blacks event, Second Home – Shoreditch
As part of Organic Beauty week, Soil Association is collaborating with Arganic, their argan oil licensee who has recently turned the oil into a Beauty Oil and Green and Blacks.
The evening will comprise of:
- Q&A: SA beauty, Arganic and G&B’s on organic certification
- Make your own facial scrub with Argan Oil
- Goodybag to take away with you

Formula Botanica competition throughout Organic September:
In honour of Organic September, Formula Botanica is hosting a global competition to win an exclusive organic skincare entrepreneur scholarship, in collaboration with Soil Association, The Beauty Voice, The Peridot Magazine (yes, that would be us), Melinda Coss and the Organic Herb Trading Company.
