Power to the flower: Lotus Wei flower (r)evolution

Today is the day! We celebrate the launch of Katie Hess’ new book, FlowerevolutionFlowerevolution (with photography by award-winning filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg) is now available to order. The book is an ode to nature and the healing and transformative effects of plants. If you’re not familiar yet, Katie Hess is a flower alchemist and the incredible founder of LOTUSWEI. Her flower serums and concoctions are renowned for their plant-healing powers. She travels worldwide to seek out flowers that reduce stress, improve sleep, and accelerate personal growth. For every mood/feeling, there is a flower: once you find your match, your mind naturally and organically responds it.

Out of all the flowers, the one that resonated the most with me was the Passionflower. You’ll find below a short description of her properties and trust me, it could not have better healing powers for me. Passionflower was definitely my match.

Activate: Healing sleep  –  Message: Rest more.
Passionflower is a vine and each flower blooms for only one day. Some of the passionflower vines have delicious edible fruits, and for many centuries the leaves of Passionflower were traditionally infused as a medicinal tea for insomnia and epilepsy. If you’re attracted to the Passionflower, you may have felt like you’re moving so fast you’re not operating on all cylinders. You may be overworking, or on the go so much that your nerves are frazzled. The Passionflower elixir helps us let go of mental chatter, stress, and thinking too much and too fast. It encourages deep sleep and facilitates the effortless resolution of issues on a subconscious level through slumber.

My personal experience with Passionflower and Lotus Wei Quiet Mind.

Passionflower can be found in the Quiet Mind Flower elixir, which I’ve been using religiously since getting it. While I’ve been using aromatherapy and essential oils on numerous occasions (and for years), I had never tried flower elixirs before, so did not know what to expect. For optimal results, I followed the instructions which recommended using 5 drops of the elixir sublingually 5 times each day regularly until the bottle was finished. The effects started kicking in a matter of days: more lightheartedness, less anxiety and an overall more serene state of mind. I tend to over-analyze things. My mind is always buzzing and I do occasionally experience restlessness and trouble sleeping.

During the testing period, I went through different professional and personal challenges which led to a skyrocketing stress level. When my stress level increases, my sleep pattern is rocked and I feel both physical and mental fatigue. This leads up then to a wider range of symptoms such as weight fluctuation, hair loss, and anxiety. It’s a vicious circle.

The flower elixir, in combination with the Lotus Wei Quiet Mind anointing oil, made me experience an unusual sense of calmness. No, I did not become a master zen (yet), but the harmful effects aforementioned linked to acute stress were significantly reduced. I was able to sleep normally, my thoughts remained clear and centered. Last but not least, I did not lack energy, which is what surprised me the most. It shows how your mental state can affect you physically. A more serene mental state = less physical tension and more positive energy. I credit Quiet Mind to have kept me sane and centered through the turmoil since this was the only product I used during that time. I was not able to work out which normally is my go-to (and most efficient) way of coping with high stress and tension, so I know that the Quiet Mind flower elixir worked its magic on me.

All in all, I’m now a LotusWei convert. I’ll definitely be picking up my copy of the book and continue using Quiet Mind as well as give other flower elixirs a try. I can only invite you (even the skeptics) to give it a try because it’s a unique experience. To me, it felt like therapy in a bottle.  Her products are available internationally
