A long time ago, I shared with you my three go-to blemish blasters, aka Indie Lee’s blemish lotion, Comvita Manukacare (discontinued now), and Juice Beauty’s Blemish
clearing powder. My love for these three products hasn’t changed, but I’m now delighted to have found a complementary addition to this bunch, in the
form of Soveral’s spot treatment gel.
It’s the product I was looking for: tea tree free and a clear gel, all-in-one. The founder, Alexandra Soveral, is a facialist and aromatherapist who also has a renowned skin arometherapy office in London. Her eclectic background (literature/philosophy major followed by chemistry studies) brings a fascinating perspective, as she combines ancient holistic traditions with modern science. June 8 marked the tenth anniversary of the brand, but I first became acquainted with them last year, when I won a Soveral mandarin kiss lip balm during a Twitter giveaway . Since then, I’ve been wanting to try more from their line and spotted (pun intended 😉 their spot treatment.
The Spotless treatment gel is aloe-vera based, accompanied with a group of anti-inflammatory oils:
– grapeseed oil can help strengthen and repair damaged capillaries and blood vessels
– evening primrose oil is rich in fatty acids, which contribute in decreasing
inflammations.
– lavender, geranium, rosemary and lemongrass oils have potent analgesic and
antiseptic properties.
From the sneaky chin cyst to the humongous and vulcano-like spot, Soveral’s Spotless effortlessly gets rid of all of them in a gentle and timely manner. The gel dries out the pimples quickly and the cooling sensation when you apply the product feels very soothing. Everytime I feel that itchy sensation on my chin or forehead, I use Spotless and it swiftly calms down.
Since it’s a clear gel, I can apply in the morning before makeup, and then once more before going to sleep. In a few days, spots are resorbed completely without leaving any scars.
Compared to other spot treatments available, it is rather expensive (£23 /Eur.27) but the little jar will last you for a long time and I won’t hesitate to repurchase it in a heartbeat as soon as it’s empty, because it has worked amazingly well for me. It has prevented pimples from growing, getting inflamed, and many scars from forming. Soveral just solves it all.
It does contain phenoxyethanol, a preservative which I’m still on the fence about, however since a spot
treatment is not something I use everyday and apply all over my
face, I’m personally fine with it. It does prevent germs from
forming. Also available, is the lavender spotless, which is a milder version for sensitive skin. Both products do contain lavender, but this one is formulated without lemongrass, geranium, citronellal, citral and geraniol.
Aqua, Vitis vinefera (Grapeseed) oil*, Oenothera biennis (Evening primrose) oil*, Xantham gum, Lavendula angustifolia (Lavender) oil*,
Cymbopogon citrates (Lemongrass) oil*, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) oil*, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera) leaf powder*, Rosmarinus
Officinalis (Rosemary) extract*, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyexylglycerin, Limonene**, Linalool**, Citronellal**, Citral**, Geraniol**. * Certified Organic Ingredient **Natural constituent of essential oil listed.

Doesn’t it remind you a bit of lemon curd? 😉 |

Sounds a nice one Liz. I don't use a specific product per say at the moment. But if I could choose one, I would not go for an oil-based one. x
Interesting Audrey, please tell me more 🙂 Indie Lee's blemish lotion is spectacular but this is the one that has worked best for me when my skin was sensitive. xx
Think i will try this. I have the clay face mask from this brand. Have you tried that? I have not used it yet x
Nice! Please let me know once you try the Volcano ash face mask, would love to hear your thoughts, I haven't tried yet. So far I have the lip balm and the spot treatment 🙂 xx
This sounds powerful. I am using few at the moment but still looking for a holy grail .My skin has gone bonkers and sometimes the spot treatments work for me sometimes they don't . It's been 4 days i am using my spot treatments but the pimples are not ready to heal .I think i need a new one 🙁
Hope you do find your holy-grail my dear Anusha. It is very tricky to find an efficient spot treatment, most of the time, face masks and sticking to healthy food helps much more than any other products, but Soverall is a clear gel which is so convenient to apply during the day and it dries out the pimples very quickly. I'll also be trying Pai's zinc serum soon, I'll let you know if this one is efficient or not? xx
